The season closes on a high note, as the Bach Society is joined by the Choral Arts Society under James Rightmyer. The Brahms Requiem certainly makes everyone’s short list when it comes to choral masterpieces. Vaughan-Williams’ Benedicite certainly is one of his most inspired works. Gabrieli’s glorious 16-part motet Omnes Gentes features both choruses plus instruments in a spectacular sonic experience.
